Grow to Grow is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that empowers teens to develop real-world life skills through hands-on experience they truly own. Each teen is paired with a dedicated one-on-one mentor who offers guidance and support—but the teen takes the lead. They communicate directly with customers, conduct interviews, and design custom plant arrangements that reflect each customer’s unique style and preferences.

Through Grow to Grow, teens gain far more than a typical first job. They gain horticultural knowledge, strengthen time management, budgeting, and communication skills, and gain real sales and marketing experience. Most importantly, they develop confidence and creativity as they design beautiful containers showcased throughout the Minneapolis metro area.

We believe that teens who take initiative and push themselves to grow deserve to be compensated accordingly. That’s why Grow to Grow teens earn wages well above minimum wage. But the real value goes beyond pay—teens form lasting connections with mentors and customers who continue to support their growth long after the planting ends. Meanwhile, customers enjoy stunning, unique plant arrangements crafted with care and creativity just for them.
